Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 1: Arrival in Ambon – Masohi – Piliana
Upon your arrival at Pattimura Airport or your hotel, our guide will warmly welcome you. You will then be transferred by car to Tulehu Harbor, a journey of approximately one hour. At Tulehu Harbor, you will board a VIP-class fast boat for a comfortable two-hour trip to Amahai on Seram Island.

Upon arrival on Seram Island, you will complete registration at the Manusela National Park office in Masohi. Afterward, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch before continuing your journey by car for approximately four hours to Piliana Village (427 masl). In Piliana, you will stay overnight at a local resident’s house, where you’ll experience a traditional ritual led by a local elder. This ritual is an important cultural tradition to honor the customs required before climbing Mount Binaiya.

Day 2: Piliana Village – Aimoto Camp.

The trek begins today with an invigorating 4-hour hike through lush plantations and river crossings, leading to Camp Yamitala. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a well-deserved lunch by the serene riverside. After that, the journey continues for another 4 hours, during which you will traverse three ridges, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. By late afternoon, you will reach Aimoto Camp (1,278 masl), where tents will be set up for an overnight stay amidst nature’s tranquility.

Day 3: Aimoto Camp – Isiali Camp
The trek continues today with a challenging 4-hour ascent to the peak of Teleuna (2,008 masl). The trail features steep and rocky terrain, requiring focus and determination. Upon reaching the peak, you will pause to enjoy lunch and take in the breathtaking views. Afterward, the journey resumes with a 3-hour trek traversing three additional peaks before arriving at Camp Isiali (2,185 masl). Here, the camp will be set up for an overnight stay, offering a well-earned rest amidst the serene mountain environment.

Day 4: Isiali Camp – Waifuku Camp
Today’s destination is Camp Waifuku. The journey takes you through Nasapeha Camp (2,579 masl), where you will pause for a lunch break. The trail features sections with sharp, loose rocks and mossy terrain, requiring careful navigation. As you ascend, you will enter a sub-alpine ecosystem adorned with unique endemic fern trees, adding to the trek’s natural beauty. After approximately 3 hours, you will arrive at Camp Waifuku (2,974 masl), situated near the summit of Mount Waifuku/Binaiya. Here, you will stay overnight, surrounded by the serene mountain atmosphere.

Day 5: Waifuku Camp – Puncak Siale (3,027 masl) – Waihuhu Camp
The climb to the true summit of Mount Binaiya, Puncak Siale (3,027 masl), begins early in the morning and takes approximately 2 hours. Upon reaching the summit, you can take time to enjoy the breathtaking views from the highest point. After descending back to Camp Waifuku, you will have a meal before continuing the journey towards the northern side of the mountain to reach Camp Waihuhu (2,070 masl). The descent involves steep trails and requires careful navigation. You are expected to arrive at Camp Waihuhu in the early afternoon, allowing ample time to rest and relax.

Day 6: Waihuhu Camp – Kanikeh Village
The trek from Camp Waihuhu to Kanikeh Village begins with a stop at Camp Waisanatuni, where you can enjoy lunch beside a picturesque waterfall. After the break, the journey continues for approximately 3 hours, traversing gentle terrain and crossing a large river. Upon arriving in Kanikeh Village, you will have the opportunity to refresh, interact with the friendly local community, and settle in for a restful night.

Day 7: Kanikeh Village – Roho Village

Today’s journey to Roho Village (132 masl) is an 8-hour trek through tropical forest terrain, featuring mostly gentle trails and several river crossings. Along the way, a lunch break is planned at Camp Waisamata (354 masl), providing an opportunity to rest and recharge. As the trail passes through dense forest, there may be encounters with leeches, so taking appropriate precautions is recommended.

Day 8: Roho Village – Huaulu Village
The final day of trekking takes you on a 4-hour hike to Huaulu Village (120 masl) , where you will cross three large rivers and follow serene tributaries along the way. Upon reaching Huaulu Village, you will enjoy a hearty lunch and have time to freshen up. Later, the journey continues to Mashulang Village. Here, you will ascend a 45-meter platform using climbing equipment, offering a unique opportunity to observe local birdlife and immerse yourself in the vibrant sounds of the surrounding forest.

Day 9: Mashulang Village – Salawai River – Ora Beach Resort
Begin your day with a delightful breakfast while soaking in the peaceful sounds of birdsong from the platform above. Following breakfast, enjoy a leisurely 30-minute walk to Sawai Village. From there, you will board either a long boat or a speed boat to explore the picturesque Salawai River. As you journey along the river, you may be fortunate enough to spot crocodiles and deer along the riverbanks. The 2-hour river cruise will bring you to a tranquil waterfall, where you can pause to take in the natural beauty.

After your visit to the waterfall, the adventure continues with a scenic boat ride to the beautiful Ora Beach Resort. The journey will take approximately 3 hours. Once at the resort, you can relax and unwind amidst the stunning surroundings, enjoying a well-deserved break in this serene paradise.

Day 10: Ora Beach Resort – Raja Island – Saleman Village
After breakfast at Ora Beach, embark on an exploration of the Saleman and Sawai areas. The day begins with a 10-minute speed boat ride to the Sea Cave and Sawai Cliffs. You can snorkel to enter the Sea Cave and admire its natural beauty. The journey continues to Sawai Cliffs, just 5 minutes away by boat.

Next, head to Raja Island, a 10-minute ride, where you will enjoy a relaxing lunch. Afterward, visit Air Belanda Beach, accessible by speed boat, and hike for 30 minutes to reach a butterfly conservation area.

In the late afternoon, proceed to Saleman Village, a 5-minute journey, to witness flocks of birds emerging from Lusiala Cave as they make their way toward North Seram. End the day by returning to Ora Beach Resort to relax and enjoy your evening.

After a delicious breakfast at Ora Beach, your day of exploration begins with a visit to the Saleman and Sawai areas. Start with a short 10-minute speed boat ride to the stunning Sea Cave and Sawai Cliffs. You’ll have the opportunity to snorkel into the Sea Cave and marvel at its natural beauty before continuing your journey, with a quick 5-minute boat ride to the awe-inspiring Sawai Cliffs.
